What Is Gasket Paper?

Gasket paper is a flexible sheet material used to cut custom gaskets. Gaskets are thin seals placed between two mating surfaces to prevent leaks of liquids, gases, oils, or vapours.

Gasket paper is available in various materials, including cellulose, rubber, nitrile, cork, aramid fibre, or graphite-based sheets. The choice of material depends on the intended use and the operating conditions such as pressure, temperature, and chemical exposure.
