Part of our enterprise is Stephen Plastic Mouldings, a company that specialises in the production of plastic mouldings for a wide range of clientele.

Plastic injection moulding has been a manufacturing process for many years, and is one of the best techniques to use when wanting to create large or small batches of the same product.

Here at Stephen Plastic Mouldings, as leading plastic injection moulders we have established over two decades of experience in the industry, allowing us to expand our services to meet more and more industry requirements.

What is Plastic Injection Moulding?

Plastic Injection Moulding is a manufacturing process that is used to mould batches of the same product. When the client has the mould of their desired product shape, plastic is poured into the mould before waiting for it to cool.

Once the moulding plastic is cooled, it is taken out of the plastic mould and the object will be ready for use, or like in many industries, will be ready for its finishing process.

The Plastic Injection Moulding Process

Being the plastic injection moulders here at Stephens Gaskets, our job is to create the plastic injection mouldings for our clients.

First, we heat the plastic material, which begins as granules of thermoplastic or thermosetting plastic, until it becomes a liquid.

The liquid plastic is then poured into the mould cavities. After waiting for the plastic to cool and harden, the new solidified object will be taken out of the mould, forming the desired component for the client.

Here at Stephen Plastic Mouldings, we offer a start-to-end service, which involves the initial designing of the mould through to the production.

What are Plastic Injection Moulders Used For?

The plastic injection moulding process is completely versatile and can therefore be used in a wide range of different industries and applications.

The manufacturing technique is used to create many different everyday objects and components including bottle caps, children’s toys, and pieces of furniture, automotive dashboards, and much more.

The process can be used to create small or large components fast and efficiently, without breaking the bank.
