Summary. With over seven decades of experience, Stephen’s Gaskets is renowned copper gasket manufacturers. We provide high-quality gaskets, known for their superior strength, malleability, and conductivity, ensuring optimal performance in all industrial operations.

Although you may not realise it, Copper Gaskets play a big role in our everyday lives. As gasket manufacturers, we know they are at the heart of everything from appliances, engines, and more. Gaskets work to prevent the escape of air, water, gas, and many other fluids in every commercial and industrial situation imaginable. Because choosing the right gasket is fundamental to the functionality of the operation it is important you get it right.

Stephens Gaskets has been leading copper gasket manufacturers since 1947. With 70 years experience in the business we have become gasket experts. One material that has been around as long as us, and with good reason, is copper.

Attributes And Benefits That Copper Gaskets Have To Offer:

Malleable:

Copper is stronger than any composite gasket yet still malleable. Its combination of strength and conformability makes it undoubtedly one of the best gasket materials available. Because of coppers malleable properties it creates a tighter seal, which results in far fewer reports of failure.

Metal-to-Metal:

If a gasket comes under high pressure it needs to be able to withstand it, requires a more robust combustion seal and the best combustion seal is metal-to-metal, i.e. copper.

Options: Copper comes in a wide range of thickness choices; providing the options necessary to optimise performance.

Conductivity:

Copper is the standard by which all other conductors are measured; therefore a copper gasket provides superior thermal conductivity, acting to stabilize head and block temperatures, which make tuning easier.

Elasticity:

Copper has 25% coefficient of elasticity, which means in a 4-inch section, the copper head gasket will stretch to 5 inches before it ruptures. Because of this quality, copper will stretch before a catastrophic failure, thereby providing an extra measure of safety not available with other gasket materials.

Copper was one of the very first materials that was used in the gasket industry. Additionally, it has held its place at the top as one of the best. It’s strong, malleable properties make it hard to compete when you need something that can withstand extreme temperature and pressure.
